Daarak'han

The daarak'han are a mysterious group of horned giants who appeared on great metal ships some centuries ago. The daarak'han are the newest people to appear in Irulia, and before their appearance on the continent no other records of them existed. No chance sightings, no documented encounters from Temenere or Lupala. Some believe they hail from the death continent of Farrdethiya, though most dismiss these ideas out of hand for no signs of civilization or indeed sapient life at all has been discovered in the New World.

Appearance

Daarak'han are generally taller and more physically robust than even orcs. Their skin tones are largely stony grays, though some exhibit patina skin tones such as iron grey, bronze and coppers, and even more silvery colors. Their ears are pointed, though not expressive in any sense. Their hair colors are most commonly white, but other colors such as blacks, dark browns, and deep reds are not entirely unheard of.

Daarak'han all have at least one set of horns. The vast majority have two sets, though daarak'han only ever possess one set of large horns with any additional horn pair being much smaller and often flanking above or below the primary set of horns. These horns possess no nerve endings, and thus some daarak'han remove their horns intentionally, although broken horns will eventually regrow. Those that do break their horns can, however, cap them off with fashionable prosthetic horns or simple iron caps to prevent growth.

Daarak'han do not have wings, and very rarely have tails. Tails are a rare genetic variation, only about one in five hundred daarak'han possess a tail. When they do, it can either resemble a tufted cow's tail or a draconic tail with spines.
