Shadowkeepers
A group of scholars, mounted upon their somber horses stop at the monolithic pillar. Upon its surface lay runic inscriptions. One of the figures amongst the scholars plays a vibrant chord upon their sitar, and a wave of energy emanates out.
All the robed figures quizzically view the pillar as the runic ruins alight. They begin writing and writing as they see what comes from the strumming and the overlapping of energies.
Quickly, the somber mood turns to one of studiousness instead. Rather than melancholy gripping the stance of these figures and lethargy gripping their mounts, an industrious mood takes over. The students of arcana attempt to pull stitches from the shadows all around to view how one may mend the ruin. Another attempts to view, in the shadow cast by the ruin, the history that the writings may have.
That night, there is much merriment among this strange crew. Music is played and stories are shared. For, to the shadowkeepers, exploring brings knowledge, and from knowledge comes the vitality of emotion.

Adventuring?
A strange band of robed figures wanders into the town the party has been staying in. At dinner, they corner these adventurers and begin to question them of their own travels. When all is well, they ask for aid.
The first asks for them to gather the long lost volumes of the extinct dwarves.
After that, a woman bearing a lute upon her back asks the group to delve into some icy caverns searching for a lost city.
Last of all, a summer eladrin gets into the half-orc druids face and politely asks for help on his journey to the next town over.
