Junker Ships
Junker ships have been important vessels for most of modern history. They are some of the first ships capable of endured flight through the ethereal. However, their existence stems from pre-Collision technology and magic wielded in a new way.
Some Junker ships are seized vessels of planar travelers such as the Illithid or neogi. This has led to many disputes amongst members of "ship bearing" races petitioning for their rightful possessions that were seized from them long ago in history.
The Junkers as a group normally take the stance that due to their dormant nature after the collision, the ships required the aid of the Junkers to ever gain flight in the first place and it is only right that they receive its payment for making it work in the first place. Different people have handled these problems in many ways, but it is needless to say that among the crews of the junkers there are plenty of gith and giff to be found piloting ships melded with the supplies of their ancestors.
Akin to the ramshackle groupings of the Junkers, Junker ships are similarly disparate different looking and functioning ships. One Junker ship may be powered by bags of air carrying a winged vessel through the clouds. Another might be a metal ship floating through the air with strange fire propelling it forward. However, with other groups turning to privacy and the occassional bestial or monstrosity attacking from the ethereal, almost all Junker ships carry artillery weapons.
Some of the Junker Princes welcome the uniqueness each captain and ship under their employ represents. Others begrudgingly allow the differences, seeing a strategy in uniting the different. However, some Princes have taken likings to certain ships, giving the ships they own over to captains under their employ to spread word of their influence by showing their sameness emblazoned across the sky.
Those heaps of qirkik? Ha, they no good for anything other than stealing. When they call zem goggles Junkers, they mean the ships, not the items they turning for coin. Just be careful of zos vorzus they have on zem. Once you get real close, you can take whatever they carry.
