Jreadi
Jreadi is apart of Ankiran as a separate town. However, the strange thing about it is that the whole town is just sand with civilization. It's scorching hot everyday and it never snows. Since it rarely rains, the citizens of Jreadi have made a more effective and efficient way to desalinate the sea's water.
There's no exact way to tell how deep the sand is. Some parts are a few meters deep and some are a few inches deep. Some areas are marked off to make sure that unexpecting travelers don't find themselves with sand in their lungs.
The ruler over Jreadi is Tara Jreadi, the daughter of Alejandro Jreadi. After Tara's death, the walls around Jreadi have fallen from misuse. Since then, the area has gotten significantly smaller with the rising tides. Some/most sand has been carried away from the mainland area, making Jreadi smaller than it used to be with its walls. After Tara's return, the walls came back up, but weaker and smaller than before.
Stone and wooden walkways have been made across the town to make transportation easier for horse drawn carriages or anything with wheels. It's also to help travelers from getting lost in the sand desert. Trust me, there have been accounts of travelers sunken into the sand. Some people think that the sand isn't that deep and then fall fifteen feet underneath.
All minerails that have been designated to arrive at Jreadi have been placed just outside the sand barrier just to make sure that the minerails don't get sunken into the sand. It's expensive to replace them, especially the rails. It's easy to mess a rail up and then send the whole transportation into chaos. Which is why Jreadi was working on a way to improve on the seemingly endless sand supply that they have.
Before the fall of Ankiran, Jreadi had a thriving marketplace. The one thing that was sold to travelers was red sand. Jreadi has a lot of sand, but red sand was only found in that town during Adameana's corrupted period. The waters surrounding Ankiran were plagued with a deep red color, contaminating the sand as well. Almost like blood. It was sold for 10 JAC (Jreadi Ankiran Coin) per bag.
