Apuratul

Apuratul isn’t a well known country considering its size, but there’s still some significance to it. Contrary to popular belief, Apuratul was the start of Disonia, not Willowdew. Willowdew came shortly after when Apuratul claimed more land and expanded, cutting the land in half and making the other half Willowdew. Apuratul is best known for its science and conducting research on unsolved mysteries across the world.   At one point, around 2026, there was a project created where a VR headset was designed to help the user overcome their fears. It was only after someone used the headset when the project was quickly shut down and any knowledge of it was disregarded. No one knows what happened to the project, but whatever happened, people know it wasn’t good. The person to use the headset was never identified and mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Any files of the person had been burned.   The project was instead scrapped and thrown away along with the instruction manual. Any unpermitted use of the VR headset would cause the headset to self-destruct in five seconds, not giving the user time to take off the headset or run away in time to save their life. The facility wanted to make sure that the headset was scrapped for good and yet they had nowhere to put the forbidden headset, so the best course of action was to throw it out and hope that someone wasn’t foolish enough to not read the instructions that clearly state on the front “CAUTION: DO NOT USE UNLESS PERMITTED. UNPERMITTED USE WILL RESULT IN SELF-DESTRUCTION, WHICH WILL RESULT IN THIRD FOURTH DEGREE BURNS” and provides the same translated warning in Spanish and French.   Apuratul was also the first and only country to enact the “Ranking System” into their country on January 24th, 2041, which ended later on November 16th, 2143.
