The Avenging Fist
The Avenging Fist, also known as the Greenskin Radicals are a radical group of Orc and Lizardfolk who were saved by The Kings of Leon during the Escape from Ky-School Chivak in The Era of Change's Great Disturbance. The initial members of the group were some of the strongest warriors who fought in the Hobgoblin Wars in the decades before The Great Disturbance.
During the Hobgoblin campaign, as cities fell, Ga and Ky soldiers were tasked with rounding up on the strongest, most superior of the Orc and Lizardfolk soldiers. These prisoners were brought before the Hobgoblin Grandmaster Ky-Vol and if their strength was recognized by him, he imprisoned them rather than killing them, sapping their power for years. Trapped within the Grandmaster's imprisonment magic, many of these individuals suffered from extensive neurological trauma, forever changing the minds of those held.
After Grandmaster Ky-Vol's death in the second year of The Great Disturbance, the adventuring party known as The Kings of Leon who were sent by The League of Every Organized Nation of Midvail freed most of the Hobgoblin's imprisoned soldiers and civilians. The Kings of Leon, Children of Galaxa, and rebellious Grey Ky destroyed the Hobgoblin castle of Ky-School Chivak, aided by these imprisoned soldiers and civilians.
In the chaos of the Escape from Ky-School Chivak, those who survived the battles with the Devoted Ky, the school's transformation into a Titan, and the impact of the school's fight with Belbez, an agent of the god Eppiten found themselves face to face with the slayer of the Titan, Tanarukk, a demon summoned into the plane of Dioya by Warlock of Bayez, Ryuk Jackson. Seeing the Orcish features of Tanarukk, the surviving Orcs knelt to the man who they perceived as their savior, with many Lizardfolk doing the same after Tanarukk pledged to kill all who would defile the Orcs right to their land. This event marked the birth of the faction known as The Avenging Fist.
Tanarukk proved to be a difficult leader at first, with his Saezan sensibilities clashing with his followers. Initially, in-fighting occurred on almost a regular basis, with the argument or disagreement generally ended by Tanarukk killing whoever crossed him. But as time proceeded, Tanarukk became more understanding of those who followed him, beginning to care for them in the only way he knew how, by assuring and achieving military victories for them.
In the year following the establishment of The Avenging Fist, the group only grew, becoming a tight-knight culture of nomadic warriors intent on crushing The Hobgoblins. Their attacks started as small as ambushing guard troops, grew to destroying whole trade routes, and eventually resulted in the taking of the Hobgoblin city of Ur-Talik, the first loss of territory The Hobgoblin Forces had suffered since The Era of Order.
Since their creation during The Great Disturbance of the Era of Change, the Avenging Fist has gained many members, united in their radical opposition of the Hobgoblins. The approximate number of Avenging Fist members is around 8000 to 9000.
Members of The Avenging Fist are put in one of
Wall-Breakers: Heavy weapons armed soldiers trained to destroy encampments and reinforcements.
Bone-Breakers: Quick, assassin-like soldiers armed with Bone based weaponry sent to infiltrate and slaughter. Most Bone-Breakers are Lizardfolk who utilize Lizardfolk based Bone weaponry tactics, with Orc brutality.
Will-Breakers: Those who can use magic are respected, but not too highly in The Avenging Fist. Will Breakers are soldiers who happen to know how to use magic, they are soldiers above all else though.
Chain-Breakers: The standard soldiers of The Avenging Fist. Trained in Orc warfare with Lizardfolk and Saezan influence, the Chain-Breakers are destructive, powerful, and seemingly able to crush Ga soldiers with the greatest of ease.
NOTABLE MEMBERS:
TANARUKK: Leader of The Avenging Fist and Demon from the plane of Saeza. The world where Tanarukk is from is one of darkness and pain and he reflects that culture in personality. Tanarukk is fiercely proud and surprisingly loyal to his cause. As a leader, Tanarukk is less tactical than the average berzerker, but his skills in combat are Saezan in nature and thus, unlike any that most Ga soldier has ever seen.
XEPUG: Partner of Tanarukk and secondary leader of The Avenging Fist. To test his faith and adoration to Tanarukk, Xepug was tasked with bringing Tanarukk the heads of 10 Hobgoblin Ga soldiers in one night. Xepug brought back 20 for his leader and confessed his love for him. Tanarukk and Xepug have a passionate, respectable relationship as fellow soldiers and partners.
AROB: Former Berzerker of Gruzdigh and Mother of the first Half-Tanarukk Half-Orc child, Arob holds a powerful position in The Avenging Fist as she teaches classical orc fighting styles to the younger members of the organization.
OKUX: Former Noble of Ur-Kazzik, Okux is the lead Bone-Breaker for The Avenging Fist and the de facto leader of the Lizardfolk members of The Avenging Fist.
