Summary

Among the Sisters are those who have left an impression for good into the society from the Forgotten Era. Their names are Ingrid, Thalia and Coraline these three Sisters make up the Virtuous Sisters, a powerful force in the world of Dionis. While each sister embodies different virtues and characteristics, they are united in their commitment to justice and protecting those who are worthy of their protection. The myth of the Virtuous Sisters serves as a reminder of the importance of wisdom, courage, and loyalty in the face of chaos and adversity.

The First Sister:

The first sister, Ingrid, is known for her chaotic energy and her tendency to give gifts to those she deems worthy. Despite her unpredictable nature, Ingrid is fiercely loyal to those who have earned her favor and is always willing to take risks to protect them. Ingrid is said to have her own realm somewhere within the span of space, called Pandemonium. Also called The Ever-Shifting Lands: this area is said to contain powerful relics and acts as an aspiration to some mad adventurers who seek a way into the realm.

The Second Sister:

The second sister, Thalia, embodies the virtues of strategy and wrath. She is a mastermind with a sharp mind and calm demeanor, who is feared by her enemies for her ability to plan ahead. Thalia often acts as a mentor to young leaders and is a respected voice of reason among her siblings. Her wisdom and tactical brilliance make her a force to be reckoned with. She is said to have been the ruler of Dragon and Giants during the Dark Ages, while she ruled she took on the form of a three color ancient dragon(White, Blue, and Silver). In that form her kingdom called her Thuun.

The Third Sister:

The third sister, Coraline, is the most enigmatic of the three. She represents the virtues of courage and madness and is known for her striking appearance. With no eyes and neon blue hair, Coraline is believed to possess a unique perspective on the world around her. Although she has never been seen by anyone but her creators, her words carry great weight among her sisters, who believe that she possesses a deep understanding of the nature of existence.

Historical Basis

The myth of the Virtuous Sisters seems to be a legendary tale in the world of Dionis. It is likely that the story originated from the oral traditions of the people and was later recorded in various historical texts. The story may have been embellished over time to include magical and fantastical elements to make it more engaging for the listeners. However, there may be some historical basis for the Virtuous Sisters. As mentioned earlier, the Titans created the Dragons, Angels, Giants, and Fey, who served as the foundational genetic lines for all mortal races that came after them. It is possible that the Virtuous Sisters were created by the Titans as a means of protecting the humanoids from the forces of the Dark One.   Ingrid, Thalia, and Coraline each embody virtues that are necessary for protecting and preserving the humanoids. Ingrid's chaotic energy and tendency to give gifts to those she deems worthy may represent the importance of kindness and generosity in building relationships and alliances. Thalia's strategic brilliance and calm demeanor may represent the importance of wisdom and planning in fighting against the forces of darkness. Coraline's courage and madness may represent the importance of taking risks and embracing the unknown in order to achieve victory.   The Virtuous Sisters' commitment to justice and protecting those who are worthy of their protection may also reflect the values of the humanoids in the world of Dionis. The creation of the humanoids marked a turning point in the war against the Dark One, and it is likely that the humanoids developed a strong sense of community and solidarity in order to survive. The Virtuous Sisters may represent the embodiment of these values, and their myth serves as a reminder of the importance of these values in times of chaos and adversity.

Spread

As the centuries passed, the Virtuous Sisters became prominent figures in the world, known for their remarkable deeds and legendary feats. Their stories spread far and wide, becoming the stuff of myth and legend. Even today, long after their time, their legacy lives on, inspiring new generations to strive for greatness and uphold the values of honor, courage, and virtue.   Though the details of their adventures vary from one tale to another, certain common threads bind their stories together. They are always depicted as fierce warriors, vulnerable prophets, or charity incarnate. Their stories took them across continents, battling all manner of foes, from rampaging dragons to dark wizards and malevolent spirits.   As the ages passed, the Virtuous Sisters became increasingly enigmatic, shrouded in mystery and myth. Their true nature and whereabouts were unknown, yet their influence persisted. Many prayed to them, seeking guidance and protection, and there were those who claimed that their prayers were answered.   It has been some time since any of the sisters has donned their avatar long enough for their celestial aspect to disappear since the time of the Dark Ages, but somehow the hum of the wind and the sound of their graces can still be felt.

Variations & Mutation

The Star Maidens:

In many tales, the Star Maidens are depicted as guiding lights in the darkness, helping sailors and travelers find their way home. They are often associated with hope and freedom, and their appearance is said to herald good fortune. However, in some versions of the tale, the Star Maidens can also be harsh and unforgiving, punishing those who stray from the path of righteousness and leading astray those who are lost.

The Ice Sirens:

Unlike the benevolent Star Maidens, the Ice Sirens are often depicted as cold and unforgiving, luring sailors to their doom with their beautiful songs and icy beauty. They are said to warn against adultery and other forms of impurity, and those who fall under their spell may face dire consequences. In some versions of the tale, the Ice Sirens are also associated with natural disasters, such as storms and blizzards.

The Hashirani:

Veiled and mysterious, the Hashirani are said to have been revered by assassins in the land of Tertreia and Torishani. They are often depicted as warding against impurity of mind and guiding souls into the afterlife. However, in some tales, they can also be vengeful and wrathful, punishing those who dare to oppose them or disrespect their customs.

Rhionna:

In tales of Rhionna, the traits of all the sisters are combined into one powerful entity. Rhionna is often associated with natural disaster prevention and the preservation of cultural heritage. Her appearance is said to herald a time of great change and upheaval, and those who heed her warnings may be spared from the worst of the coming storms. She is only typically found worshipped within The Keys.

Cultural Reception

The Virtuous Sisters, Ingrid, Thalia, and Coraline, are a powerful force in the world of Dionis. Each sister embodies different virtues and characteristics, but they are united in their commitment to justice and protecting those who are worthy of their protection. Let's take a look at their cultural shifts and changes.

Lynoa:

Ingrid is the first sister, known for her chaotic energy and tendency to give gifts to those she deems worthy. She is fiercely loyal to those who have earned her favor and is always willing to take risks to protect them.   Thalia, the second sister, embodies the virtues of strategy and wrath. She is a mastermind with a sharp mind and calm demeanor, feared by her enemies for her ability to plan ahead. Thalia is a respected voice of reason among her siblings and often acts as a mentor to young leaders. Her wisdom and tactical brilliance make her a force to be reckoned with.   Coraline, the third sister, is the most enigmatic of the three. She represents the virtues of courage and madness and is known for her striking appearance with no eyes and neon blue hair. Although she has never been seen by anyone, her words carry great weight among her sisters, who believe that she possesses a deep understanding of the nature of existence.

Tetreia and Torishani:

In these two continents, the Virtuous Sisters are transformed into the Hashirani, veiled mistresses who are revered by the assassins of Tertreia and Torishani. The Hashirani are depicted as veiled and mysterious, guiding souls into the afterlife while warding against impurity of mind. They are highly respected and their customs are closely followed, but tales also warn of their wrath and vengeance towards those who disrespect them.   The first veiled one goes by Monoki maintaining a chaotic energy and tendency to give gifts to those she deems worthy within her civil persona, but her loyalty is highly valued by the Hashirani. She is known to take risks to protect those she favors and is often at odds with another figure within Torishani folkore.   The second veiled one, known as Hana, embodies the virtues of cunning and tenacity. She is a strategic thinker with a sharp mind and an unwavering determination, feared by her enemies for her ability to outmaneuver them. Hana is also known for her perseverance and resolve, never backing down from a challenge no matter how daunting it may seem.   The third veiled one, known as Yuki, is the most enigmatic of the three sisters. She represents the virtues of courage and mastery, with a keen sense of hearing and smell that compensates for her lack of sight. Yuki is a master of the ninja arts, using her heightened senses to move through the shadows undetected and strike her enemies with deadly precision.

Arnovia:

In the country of Arnovia, the Ice Sirens are a feared and mysterious group of creatures that are said to roam the snowy forests during the winter months. They are not individual in nature and are often seen in groups, using their alluring songs and icy beauty to lure unsuspecting travelers into the woods. The Ice Sirens are said to warn against adultery and other forms of impurity, and those who fall under their spell may face dire consequences. They are also associated with natural disasters such as storms and blizzards, adding to their fearsome reputation. Despite their beautiful appearance, the Ice Sirens are seen as cold and unforgiving, and it is wise for travelers to avoid them at all costs.

The Keys:

The legend of the Virtuous Sisters has a different interpretation in The Keys. Instead of depicting each sister separately, they are combined into one being named Rhionna. Rhionna is often portrayed as a woman who appears before anyone who requires assistance, constantly sobbing. She is revered for her ability to prevent natural disasters and preserve the cultural heritage of The Keys. Her appearance is said to signal a time of great change and upheaval, and those who heed her warnings may be spared from the worst of the coming storms. Rhionna's influence is felt throughout the islands, with her followers seeing her as a symbol of freedom and rebellion against authority, much like the figure of The Dark One.
