Siderii

Siderii or Siderini (pl)(Latin/Dinoranian: m. Siderius/on, f. Sideria/a/eis, Adj. Sideri) are an ethno-subspecific subrace of Dinoraene originating from the specialized ethnogenetic caste of the Aujenid Imperial Guards, the military branch of the ruling dynasty of the Kingdom of Dinòra, from its foundation until the Destruction of the Aujenid Fleet scattered the Siderii across the universe.   The largest known population of Siderii inhabits the Gateworld of Gea, where, over the course of history, many individuals have reprised their ancestors' role as elite soldiers subservient to the Aujenids' daughter houses, including the Prophetic House of Deijen and its many Devodes.   Siderii traditionally spoke the Azure Warrior-Cant (Aùlsvenerikand), of which no trace exists save for a few inherited structures in the modern Siderii Tongue.      

Origins

The latin term 'Sidereus' translates to 'of or relating to the stars.'   Siderin is an Old Dinoranian word for 'Wanderer.'   The vast majority of the Sideri population on Gea can trace its ancestry to a small band of around 130,000 Siderii soldiers that crash-landed in the Great Desert around the 39th Century BCE.   Akshasis
