The Ricky Ricardos
The Ricky Ricardos have a reputation for being the best-dressed scrapper gang in the Boomlands. While the presumably wear less stylish work clothes when they're digging through junk heaps for scrap, the crew boils up big time before they make an appearance at a diner or camp, trading their coveralls for loud, colorful suits, slicked-back hair, and fedoras perched at just the perfect rakish angle. Based out of a junkyard near Casper, Wyoming, the Rickies have built a reputation as the Boomlanders best source for hard-to-find auto parts. In between sourcing the unexplored corners of the Boomlands for parts, the Rickies play Latin-flavored rock, jazz, and dance music at gigs and camps along their route.
Structure
The gang consists of the 15-20-person band/scrapper crew who actually travels the Boomlands looking for parts as well as a home team that handles the parts trade. The gang is led by a husband and wife team who call themselves Big Ricky and Lucy even though there's not a single person in the Boomlands who believes those are their actual names. Ricky serves as the band leader for gigs, but often hangs back at the nearest dinertown during scrapping mission, dazzling visitors with his wit and sophistication while the rank-and-file Rickies do the dirty work under the watchful eye of Del Toro, Ricky's right-hand man and tour manager.
When Ricky's away, Lucy--a chain-smoking redhead with a head for numbers--runs the junkyard with the help of well-groomed crew of employees in neat blue coveralls.

Culture
The Rickies are known for their odd mix of professionalism and hedonism. When they're on the clock, they're well-dressed, focused, and polite. When they clock--whether it's after a day of stripping down cars or a night of music--they party like rock stars. If you're at a diner where they're playing, don't expect an early or quiet night. It's better to just resign yourself to the fact that things are going to get weird and enjoy the madness.
If you show up at the junkyard to make a routine purchase, you can haggle a price and be on your way, but it you want to make a big purchase or long-term deal, plan on hanging around for a few days. Big and ongoing deals aren't so much a negotiation as a courtship that involves attending multiple dinners, performances, and other camp functions. Once the Rickies are satisfied that you're someone they can work with, they'll finally be ready to talk business, with Lucy leading the negotiations.

Assets
The Rickies started their salvage career by taking over a well-stocked auto scrapyard and have spent the last five years filling out the inventory with scrap parts. When they find an abandoned town, airport parking lot, or other location with lots of cars that haven't been stripped, they set up a temporary camp and keep sending truckloads of scrap back until they've picked the place clean, starting with rarest and most valuable pieces. Their aggressive scavenging operation has made them the biggest parts operation in the Boomlands, and given them a near-monopoly on some hard-to-find parts.
