Torraine

In ancient times it is said that Torraine was once a man that ascended to divine status. The Mage Wars changed the very shape of the world and Torraine was one of the bannermen of the then future king. An expert tactician and a master with bladed weapons saw him on the forefront of many battles lead to reclaim the rights of non-magical folk. When the fighting was done and an agreement reached, Torraine was given a special position of power within his king's court. As years passed, so did the king and queen. A new queen rose to power and had Torraine's closest allies betray him. Butchered by men he'd come to trust, the powers that governed balance in the world laid claim to his spirit and called him to champion them in a conflict that will rage for eternity. A ferocious but just man, the powers that be granted Torraine domain over ambition, family, might, and protection.
