Human
From A Guide to Humanoid Species by Decklund Sayre
Humans are one of, if not the most prolific race on all of Diadamel. Each one is different but bound together by common bond and an ability to adapt and thrive wherever they settle. There are those who move into an area and conquer, but I find the majority of humans to be peaceful and empathic. Humans tend to desire stronger connections with potential allies rather than make fresh enemies. This is especially true when they are outnumbered. This should not imply that humans are quick to betray or abandon cause or old allies, but that they understand how important new allies are. Unless your goals are counter productive to a human's, that is.
Human history and survival is paid for in blood though. Many years ago, according to the oldest texts I could find, it was humans who began the Mage War. The schools of magi, spurred on by human arrogance, began to combat each other for superiority. The war lasted many decades and cost many lives. A few decades before the sundering there was an uprising by non-magical folk when it became apparent the magi would destroy the world before they would be done fighting. Those who fought to usurp magical leadership were rewarded for their toil and eventually the war ended.
