Goblin

Goblins fearlessly marched through the portals into Diadamel first during the invasion many years ago. They game with crude knives, riding dogs of war, drums, and a total lack of survival instinct. The first and potentially the weakest wave of invaders, but certainly the most aggravating and resource draining. Goblins were the greatest siege engine en masse.   Their history is lost to them, the very first were savage little creatures with a insatiable hunger for carnage, and just a plain hunger to boot. Eventually they'd all be driven into hills and deep into the darkest places of mountains. For many years that's where they'd stay, multiplying in an effort to take the surface some day. But in-fighting in the tribes made them weak and the goblins were only cunning in their own lairs. It wouldn't be until recently that goblins would be tolerated on the surface. No one is sure how or when the goblins came out of the underground and became a part of this world properly, but here we are.   It was thought that goblins were stupid and primitive, but that simply wasn't true. Goblins can be taught and can learn from their mistakes, it's just that they don't often survive their mistakes. They also tend to have a "kill first and ask questions during dinner" kind of attitude when in a tribal setting. Fortunately, enough goblins have learned to communicate in less violent ways lately.
