Sky Soup
Sky Soup is a beloved traditional dish in Myst, enjoyed by many during the spring season. This hearty soup features a base of rich, savory broth that is delicately seasoned with potent dried Blue Nasturtium flowers, which add a subtle spiciness and a unique flavor to the dish. The blue petals of the flower give the soup a subtle blue colour.
The soup also contains tender chunks of slow-cooked meat and vegetables, and the main ingredient, the elusive and prized Rice, which is notoriously difficult to grow in the harsh conditions of Myst. The combination of these ingredients results in a satisfying and nourishing meal that is both comforting and full of flavor. Whether enjoyed as a family meal or a special occasion dish, Sky Soup is a true staple of Myst cuisine.
The name Sky Soup comes from the blue broth and rice, making the soup resemble the Sky.
Manufacturing process
Cook the soup all day, season the broth first and then add the other ingredients.
History
According to historians, the soup was first invented by a wise prior named Hannah who lived on the outskirts of a small village. One spring, after a particularly harsh winter, Hannah found herself with very little food and no money to buy more. She had only a small amount of rice left, which she decided to cook in a pot of water. As the rice was cooking, Hannah looked out her window and saw a beautiful Nasturtium flower growing in her garden.
Feeling inspired, she decided to add the Nasturtium leaves and flowers to the pot of rice and water. The resulting soup was both nutritious and delicious, with a unique flavor that combined the spicy taste of the Nasturtium with the subtle sweetness of the rice. Hannah shared her recipe with her neighbors, who were impressed by the tasty and filling dish. It soon became a popular dish in the village and throughout Myst, especially during the springtime when the Nasturtiums were in bloom.
