Momoka #7

Chessa's capital city, Chessdo is known for fashion houses, boutiques, perfumeries, jewelers, and couturiers. The people of Chessdo (especially, though not exclusively, the royal and noble women) dress fashionably and spend lavishly (as they are able) on new styles and trends in clothes, jewelry, accessories, and fragrances.   One of the renowned perfumers of Chessdo, Tamura Shima, has formulated one of the most-loved perfumes in Chessa, even in all of Derkomai, called "Momoka #7."   The most famous perfume in her Momoka (Peach Flower) line, Momoka #7 is regarded as a masterpiece. Sought out by the women of Chessa and known as the favorite of Queen Jenmei Na'Omi, Momoka #7 commands a very high price at Tamura Shima's fragrance and cosmetics boutique in Chessdo, known simply as "Shima."   Other perfumers in Chessa and elsewhere have tried to recreate the unique, alluring fragrance of Momoka #7, but have utterly failed. The ingredients and processes required to formulate the fragrance are, of course, a closely guarded secret. Tamura Shima is the only person that knows the entire formula, and she has vowed that the secrets of Momoka #7 will never be revealed, even upon her death. It is assumed that Momoka #7 is based on the light fragrance of peach blossoms, but no one, other than Tamura Shima, actually knows.   The scent of Momoka #7 is light and slightly, but not overpoweringly, sweet, and floral, but not cloying. It is instantly recognizable to anyone that has smelled it before. For many, the fragrance has a slightly intoxicating and alluring effect, making whoever is wearing the perfume appear more attractive.   Momoka #7 is produced in very limited quantities by Tamura Shima personally, with the assistance of three Elvirim women. People have speculated that Momoka #7 is based on or perhaps is entirely an Elvirim fragrance.   A small number of bottles of Momoka #7 is traded by caravanners to Senyon and even to Sudland, where it commands an extremely high price, such that only nobility and royalty can afford to buy it. In most cases, a royal or noblewoman must place an order with a caravanner and then wait, sometimes for years, to get a single small bottle. Recently, Princess Masako Tachibana Larssen, was able to purchase a bottle of Momoka #7. She has been showing it off to her few friends and her niece, Princess Ingrid Tachibana Larssen, to make them jealous. Her sister-in-law, Queen Tatsu Tachibana Larssen, has been even more annoyed with Princess Masako than usual because of it.
