Mavarri Forest

The Slime Forest

The Mavarri forest lies on the verdant continent of the same name, and takes up a fair portion of it. The fauna here is oddly like earth's and it's suggested that when the Descended landed on this continent, they brought many of their own plants with them. This explains the similarity to earth forests where forests in other places are far less recognizable. It sports and abundance of herbs that have proven useful for poultices and teas.   It is absolutely infested with slimes, though, so most non-adventurers steer clear. Even Lalia and Matthew avoid going too deep into the forest, as larger and more dangerous creatures live there.

Geography

The forest consists of much of the south half of the continent. It extends from the mountains at the west to the cliffs at the east, with beaches on the south end. It has a few streams that run through it, and one slightly larger river that runs off of the mountains to the west and into the ocean via a delta in the south.

Fauna & Flora

You'll find many familiar flora such as oak, maple, willow, beech, and even sequoia, though they aren't exactly the same as ones you might find on earth. While recognizable, they are not exactly the same.
