Who doesn't like pets? And you shouldn't need to baby-sit.— Justification
When a PC has acquired a pet it will never take damage while you're alive and it is on you, be it in a jacket or sitting on your shoulder. Provided the pet is not actively participating in the combat.
Actively participating in Combat
A creature is considered to be "Participating in combat" when:
- Its the only thing visible to a hostile participant.
- It is actively looking for hidden creatures.
- It is acting as a mount for another creature.
- It is using any actions which directly or indirectly harms hostile participants, examples hereof are:
- Using aid to assist a friendly in harming a hostile participant.
- Using aid to assist a friendly in trapping a hostile participant.
- Using aid to assist a friendly in distracting a hostile participant.
