During the second grey war Ser Velt's Fortress, Fort Vanhal, fell to Yin Sar, he routed and fell back to Califas earing the queen's ire. While Califas was being bombarded the fire ceased as Ser Infrexus' army took the line from the rear. Upon crushing the elven threat it was revealed that Ser Infrexus retook and held Fort Vanhal in order to mount his assault. The queen feeling spiteful towards Velt and proud of Infrexus renamed Fort Vanhal to Fort Infrexus, as to "give Ser Velt something to aspire to."

Ser Velt frequently uses an excess of force, putting so many troops or extreme calibers of equipment in play that are wasteful just to ensure winning.
