Relentless rain and runoff from the Driftlands oversaturate the land. Rivers breach, flood walls fail, and all of Defiance IV is lost beneath brackish water. When the water finally recedes, twisted plant life has claimed the ruins. Locals say it smells like snowmelt and blood.
