From the cracked cliffs of the Driftlands, a massive bloom of frost-lilies opens over a single night, releasing glittering spores. They settle across the city like snow. Anyone who inhales them forgets their name, their past, their kin. The city empties as survivors wander off into the trees, blank-eyed and humming.
