Clampjaw Tongs
If you’ve got the jaw, don’t let go!
Crafted from scavenged car parts and old workshop hinges, these unwieldy tongs are strong enough to grip molten scrap—but slow to react.
- While wielding these tongs:
- You can handle hot materials like the Blitz core without making Constitution saves.
- You can use them as an improvised melee weapon (1d4 bludgeoning, reach 5 ft, heavy). But this will earn you a foul in game! and that results in you spending a turn on the side lines.
- You have disadvantage on contested Athletics checks to wrestle, tackle, or catch when holding the tongs as it requires both hands.
- Once per match, you may clamp onto a moving object (DC 15 reaction Dexterity check) to prevent it from being intercepted or dropped.
