Youxia (1.1) - Adventurer Class
This is the Knight Errant of the Jade Lands, in many ways similar to a combination of Peasant Warrior, Kensai, and Paladin. They roam the land seeking to help the downtrodden and those in need. This class is based on the stories of the Chinese Knight Errant in history.
Playing the Youxia
Hero of the people, protector of the good, defender of the local village, owning no property but relying on the kindness of others while spreading good and right in the world. If you want to play a varied character that is good in several situations but does not need to wear armor at beginning levels then this character class is for you.
Abilities
Armor Allowed: none
Weapons Allowed: Longsword, Shortsword, One-Handed Spear, Long Spear, Knife, Dagger, Stick, Club, Sickle, Jade Broadsword/Warsword, Staff, Single-Handed Axe, Glaive
Level 1
Word Fame: If you or another member of your party can tell a compelling story about your deeds then you can gain one free in-game service from a merchant (e.g. healing, entertainment, blessings, etc).
Vow of Poverty: You may own no armor, no treasure, and only one weapon at a time. Any money received from quests must be given to the village or temple(s). You can accept a weapon as a gift or reward.
Vow of Truth: You cannot lie or bend the truth.
Dexterous Movement: Due to your quick movement and dodging ability you have +1 APR. This stacks with other sources of APR improvement, including armor.
Demon Slaying: You gain a bonus of +1 to HP and +1 to weapon damage when fighting demons, devils, and otherworldly creatures. This includes Fae and related creatures.
Minor Healing Touch: You may heal 1 HP per level per day, on yourself or another player, NPC, or monster. Requires physical touch and must be called out. This ability can be used once per day (1x/day) and cannot be renewed, though it renews at sunrise
Starting Gold: Youxia starting gold is 0.
Level 2
Offensive Stance: Before the start of an encounter, battle, or duel, you may take a 1 point reduction in APR to give one of your swords a +1 damage bonus. If you are dual wielding swords then this applies to only one sword.

Improved Word Fame: You may now receive a weapon or potion or scroll from your Word Fame ability.
Level 5
Armor Training: You can now wear Light (Level 1) armor.

Level 7
Sword Lord: You gain the rank and title of Sword Lord. At the start of each event the people give you gifts of weapons or consumables.
Dual Wield Swords: You can now dual wield longswords
Level 8
Improved Demon Slaying: You now gain +2 HP and +2 weapon damage when fighting demons, devils, Fae, and otherworldly creatures.
Improved Armor Training: You can now wear Medium (Level 2) armor.
Level 9

Jade Knight: You gain the rank and title of Jade Knight. The gifts given to you by the people double.
Chi Magic : You can imbue a non-ranged weapon you are holding with the properties of one of the following spells: Lighting Bolt, Fireball, or Entangle. This lasts for the duration of the encounter, battle, or duel. This ability can be used once per day (1x/day) and can be renewed.
Master Demon Slaying: You are now immune to attacks, damage, and effects from any demon, devil, Fae, or otherworldly creature.
