Cooling Nest

A nest used to cool off eggs (or 'rest' them) during incubation.  

Description

A medium-sized bowl shaped object (large enough to hold three eggs), which may or may not be elevated, made of wood or stone and lined with either, or a mix of, hay, fur or other soft, warm, materials.  

Purpose

Cooling nests are used solely by Daulka whom participating in the breeding season. Initially used to hold freshly laid eggs for their hardening stage, where viable eggs change from grey to the coloration of the unborn inside. Afterward, it is used to occasionally rest the eggs after they had spent some time in their parents incubation pouches. Lastly, when the eggs are about to hatch, they are utilized as a hatching platform.  

Location

One is usually placed in every Cresh, with one exception: Highland Sif dominated Grand may have multiple, due to the more 'harem' style of breeding they follow.
Grands themselves usually ensure they keep a number in storage as backups, in case of damage or loss of the ones within the creshes.
