The Annelid (A-nuh-lid)

Annelid is a submarine with a proboscis shaped like a spoon. Its main design is to look like the echiura annelids found on the seabed of Eideen Bay, close to the home of the Sorrel Kingdom. Used specifically to ambush, the Annelid is a military vehicle designed specifically to keep any member of the Itude Empire that dares to enter their waters far away. This is mainly in part to vampires being allergic to salt water. On the upside, the Annelid can also work as a rescue transport ship for any prisoners saved from the empire.      

Design

With the Annelid often out in the waters and not at shore, the body of the submarine is cylindrical with two wider regions separated by a narrower region. There is a large extendible, scoop-shaped proboscis at the front used to send out sonar signals similar to a dolphin or whale. A large set of weapons can be seen on it from up close, but when far off, the weapons start to blend in and appear like fins on a shark.  

Weapons & Armament

Any weapon aboard the ship is similar to torpedoes and deck cannons. Each type of weapon is equipped to handle water and is usually manned by a merfolk on board, who knows water magick quite well.  

Propulsion

Instead of coal charging the turbines, the merfolk of the Sorrel Kingdom use a unique type of sea kelp that appears similar to bamboo but produces a type of oil that works wonderfully with oil-fired steam turbines.
