Alpha's Heat

During the season of icegrasp, an Alpha wolf will undergo his version of a heat, or rut, as some packs put the term for Alphas. This condition happens once a month during the months of Kruqesk, Biwid, and Judash, while lasting for seven Earth days and can only be quelled by mating with his mate. Around this time of the year, Alphas are to be respected and not drawn away from their mate when the urge to rut hits them. This condition only happens once an Alpha has met his mate.

Drawbacks

  • An alpha will begin to smell of a sweet scent during his heat.
  • If an Alpha is left alone with his mate while dealing with this condition, he will have an uncontrollable desire to mate and will do just about anything to get his mate to sleep with him, yet he won't rape them unless he is already unhinged.
  • The only time an Alpha will stop going through his heat earlier than seven Earth days is when his mate is pupped.
  • If his mate is pupped before his heat cycle, the Alpha will notgo through his heat until his mate has birthed and gone through one month of recuperation.

What happens if an Alpha has not yet found his mate?   I really like that Alphas don't go through heat whilst their mate is pregnant. :) This is a nice take on it.
