Era beginning/end

A large scale war the likes of wich the world has never seen. The five mayor empires faced collape after a full on world war, with unpresedented amounts of death and destruction. Such destruction lead to the economic colapse of mayor trade hubs, but also to the golden age for other. Because, you see, all the mayor empires had acumulated a great deal of debts and their soldiers were refucing to keep on fighting until they had payed them, ending prematurily the war, because of that no empire had the money to wage war again, leading to a century were no mayor wars happened. After so much destruction the only way out was rebulding, and you could do it safely because there were no foreing armies out to kill you. Private military orders and mercenaries flurish in this period, away from the mayor empires in decline, decentralizing the power away from the empires and more to the individual people.
