Scores in the Wind
The following are possible scores the crew has heard about, been offered, etc.
Who: Charlie's dealer Reggie
What: He knows of a regular exchange that happens and would be willing to share the information with a crew that has the balls to go in there and steal the cash and drugs.
Payoff: Cash and drugs, probably some 'heat' with some other gang.
Who: Charlie heard a rumor.
What: The USW 1011 is trying to unionize one of the few remaining independant steel factories on the south side.
Payoff: Entry into 'real' organized crime. Unions are where the real money is. But also the headaches.
Who: Jesse is contacted by Los Asesinos El Loco
What: Tells him that a couple of his guys were involved in the alderman shooting. That is how the CPD has the charm from his mother's shop, one of them had it and lost it in the chaos. They were hired by some Irish guys and have since disapeared and since Jesse has some Irish buddies, they want him to look into it.
Payoff: Relationship with Los Asesinos and intel for Joe Bagels.
Who: New City games
What: Sitting at the blackjack table a guy tells the story of how the game he was playing in last week was robbed. The dealer tells them that was just the latest in a string. There is a bounty out on the crew taking down local games.
Payoff: Cash, respect and gratitude of local games.
Who: Beans comes to Sean again
What: Now that you are officially part of the crew, I thought you could help me out. I am on 24/7 with Joe and got no time for nothing. I got an interest in this joint and the manager has been calling about some kind of problem. You go down there and sort it out for me, yah?
Payoff: Beans' favor, respect in Bagel's crew
Who: Sean's buddy and Joe Bagels' muscle Beans
What: With the recent passage of the Johnson act, the Outfit needs to make a bunch of slot machines disappear. Beans has no time to take care of it personally and is looking for someone to take on the job.
Payoff: Cash and improved reputation with the Outfit and Joe Bagels.
Who: Tommy's buddy Stan
What: Harper's Motors is hosting some special car thing and Stan is willing to give a very healthy cut to anyone who steals the exotic cars.
Payoff: Cash and a ton of heat.
Who: Luts associate who runs a gambling operation.
What: Abelman, who is definitely not racist, is concerned about the quality of his neighborhood and the recent opening of The Delta Deli down the block. He has also heard rumors that there is even a burgeoning gambling racket being run out of the place.
