C'asalia

A desert race, they are nomadic people whom travel around mostly keeping to themselves. They do, however, meet at the city in the middle of the desert to celebrate their Goddess's feast day.

They were cursed by their own Goddess when they nearly wiped out their own male population. Taking pride in their female warriors, male children were often casted aside. Upset by her creations, she gave them what they wanted by cursing them into only having girls. After awhile they realized their mistake, for they could not repopulate purely into their own race. Begging their goddess to forgive them, she relented allowing that a male would be born to their priestess. The curse had not been lifted, but they were able to receive one male per tribe. Because of being captured or killed at a rapid rate the female's pregnancy lasted half the time most due. They're able to give birth to a healthy normal full term baby after five months. Because of this excelleration the females have a huge appetite, it's not uncommon for them to eat eight meals a day.

These males are born with red eyes, making them more receptive to becoming blind due to their sensitivity.

Because of their dark skin color and their beauty they are continuously hunted down by slavers to be sold into market. Many end up dying in the process of capture or eventually meet a short lifespan in their services.

Culture:
The C'asalia, even before the extinction of their males, never had a concept of marriage. They did not believe in tying themselves to just one person in such a way. If they wanted to spend time with that person they would, but otherwise they did not concern themselves with such ceremonies. This worked out to their advantage since when they only got one male, that it was easy enough for the whole tribe of women to share the male's bed.

Because the race is warrior based they often will fight another tribe over land and even over stealing another tribe's male. Whomever is the victor gets the other tribe's male and any other person they seen fit to take. Mostly other's will take another's priestess as well or even possibly their strongest fighters. Usually this leaves the other tribe weak and sometimes will end up either being absorbed by another tribe or wiped out completely. Mostly these people that are captured do not resist their new life, because they know that now their future's are secured with their new owners unlike those who are left behind to pick up the peices. Of course this depends on the treatment of their captors of how they feel their lot in life has fared Most captured 'slaves' are treated as members of the tribe even though they are put in positions where they may have to give their sexual favors and labor to their owners.

Priestess's are just as prized as their males due to their powers to commune with their Goddess. Not only this, but because of their close contact with the Goddess they are the ones that bear the next generation's male.

So far out of all the tribes the one with the most males is the Vermillion Druid tribe, Bizbane. Due to being the strongest and the biggest it is seen only to be natural that they do.

In most part they are nomadic, but for tribes that are overly large like the Bizbane and Cinlheem they find it easier to make a permanent settlement than to continue wandering around. In part it is because they are so large that they are able to defend one area better than to run away from trouble.
