Kace, the tinkerer

 

nitially met in the northern reaches of the Unbound Lands at the town of Darryn's Crossing, Kace is a free-spirited individual and an incredibly talented creator of magical items.   Great yellow and blue wings sprout from the back of Kace, a Strix warrior standing at 6'5". Two horns protrude from her head through her dark hair, which is usually wet or drying from a foray into the water, which she loves. Her taloned hands intimidate Company lackeys as she plies her tools, however what truly terrifies her fellow Bannermen are her eyes - large and black from sclera to pupil. When she is provoked, her eyes take on a piercing gold colour; many have learnt to quickly vacate the area when they flash.   Strix are rarely seen outside the Rhakhis Peaks, let alone travelling with humans - their sworn enemies. And yet Kace does so. A quick-tempered but pivotal member of the Company, Kace has left the mountains in search of something - for what, she won't say. Thriving within the security offered by travelling with dozens of famed adventurers, Kace offers her services to the Company as an exceptional crafter of magical items.   When questioned about where she attained such an incredible talent to work magical components into powerful artifacts, she goes uncharacteristically quiet. Members of the Company have noted that beyond her unique avian appearance, Kace has many of the mannerisms attributed to the regal dragon - proud, ferocious and capable of bending the weave of magic to their will.   When the Company found her in the Unbound Lands, she has been employed by Fleur on behalf of the Conclave of the Fifth to travel northwards and investigate a series of disappearances which caught her interest.   Kace is free to use for any player in the Company.
