Culture and cultural heritage

The High-Fomors created the worlds first cultures and languages.

Average technological level

The High-Fomors were the most technologically advanced race in the Gētīg. They had found ways to combine advancements in science and magick not only to create a prosperous nation, but many others had foul intentions. Overall, High-Fomors were a powerful and advanced race, only stopped by their hubris and divine intervention. A racial icarus.

Common Etiquette rules

Since men were typically away in the age of High-Fomors, it became customary to bow while greeting. Typically a two-armed bow was reserved for greeting the young ones, and a four-armed bow was reserved for elders and people in high positions.

Common Dress code

Having four arms presents a challenge to dressing up. To combat this, many High-Fomors considered nudity a regular occurance on hot days.

Also due to the four arms, both men and women wore dresses and togas out of simplicity.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Since High-Fomorian is the language of magic, speech was sparse in adults. Words and Hymns oft became reality when spoken aloud, so a form of High-Fomorian sign language (HFSL) became standard practice.

Because High-Fomorian was the language of magick, a secondary side-effect was the development of dialects and auxillary words. This resulted in sentences with so many words with double or triple-meanings that they are hardly understood by non-native speakers of High-Fomorian. Since their people have gone exctinct, High-Fomorian has become an entire field of study among magick schools across the world.

Common Taboos

High-Fomors were also very fond of elaborate parties where guests were to attend in prestigious or expensive adornments and garments. To not dress-your-best would be considered incredibly rude.

High-Fomorian society was family centric, and it was expected that the eldest child would stay in the family home to care for the parents in their old age. To not do so would result in shunning, and the responsibility would shift to the second born if applicable.

Gender Ideals

The High-Fomors were a matriarchal society, as such, many women were considered to be in positions of power and government.

Men were not entirely subservient, but women tended society while the men typically explored the world they were born into. As men traveled through mountains and seas in search of new continents or knowledge, the women in their homeland created their society and shaped their culture.

High-Fomors also had a third gender, to us would be considered gender-neutral. These individuals took on both traditionally masculine and feminine roles, or neither roles. These were considered the savants of High-Fomors, seemingly able to live two lives seamlessly in society.
