The Chessmakers
Structure
Each member of the Chessmakers carries with them a piece of a chess board wrought in black or white marble. Each piece corresponds to the clan watched by the appropriate member.
The White King corresponds to the Iron King of the Ferelian People. It was held by Iris, the guardian of Will Grace.
The White Queen corresponds to the Storm Queen of the Kielish People.
The left-side White Bishop corresponds to Warden of the Logali People.
The left-side White Knight corresponds to the Matron of the Simerian People. It was held by Gwenna, the guardian of Elsebeth.
The right-side White Knight corresponds to the Iron Gauntlet of the Ferelian People.
Public Agenda
Nothing about the Chessmakers is public, but their creed is entirely centered around maintaining a political balance and doing everything in their power to prevent the return of Nimagos to D'neth.
History
The Chessmakers were created in response to the events of the Crafting.
