Deviance Teaser

Character Growth: Bionics, Mutations, & Spiritual Changes

Each character will be able to carry three Deviances. These aren't just upgrades, they represent a reflection of the choices you have made and play directly into your arc across the Cycle as a whole. At the end of each session your GM will select from a list of Deviances your character has met the criteria for and offer you a choice of three to pick from. Characters reduced to 0 Wounds, Will, or Wane in a session must take the corresponding Injury Deviance as detailed below. you may only ever take one Deviance per session, and this extends to Injuries.

Deviances follow a similar thread as to Wounds, Will, and Wane. Feed one, you may be starving another. Crafting a properly balanced character will take time and patience, with plenty of temptations to focus on one area of growth above others along the way. The problem with strength is that is invites challenge. You may find yourself in a bigger pond than you anticipated if you push your luck too often.
