Come explore the real American Wasteland on with me on YouTube or Instagram! A nostalgia collector and roving trader myself, you can have a front row seat to my finds, restorations, and even a mystery from time to time ~ The channel’s still early in its growth - lots of Shorts to explore, only a few longer videos - but we’re picking up momentum fast. And as we hit milestones, I’ll be giving back. I’ve got a stash of vintage artifacts, retro curios, and an entire stack of sealed board games waiting for future giveaways!
One of my favorite recent estate-sale finds are these oddball Toycraft Gyrospheres, built right out of post-war scrap. The rolled aluminum interior was never meant to be seen, yet the factory stamps from old food and battery tins still remain - historic little ghosts from the late 1940s hiding in plain sight. While plenty examples of Gyrospheres exist, this exact model seems to be unique. Consider this an open challenge to the collectors’ hive mind: if you can help me make meaningful progress in this mystery - I may send you a little wasteland treasure as a token of my gratitude!
Sometimes I don’t stumble into mysteries or hidden gems - sometimes I stumble into things that feel like they were manufactured by a madman. Case in point: this mass-printed relic from the golden age of wax-paper baseball cards and 1980s wartime propaganda. Chasing a “hit” card isn’t exactly reinventing the wheel - but I might be the first person hunting Stormin’ Norman, Bush Sr., and Colin Powell. We won’t even talk about the banned holofoil of the guy from South Park.. Point is, they’re fun, they’re absurd, and honestly people remember them better than a business card. If you run into me in the wild, you may just walk away with your very own pack!
