Mayor Mbole Ebunike
Mayor Ebunike was elected as mayor in 2012. He was his re-election in 2016. Recently the mayor, formerly named Judson Freeman, has been working closely with the Pan Neo-African political party. The mayor's popularity has been waning over his second term. He has been vetoing bills that have been showing corporations of the city favoritism. He has also made himself less available over the past few months and gaining an appointment with him has been difficult.
The mayor's policy changes has been causing friction between him and the City Council. Also, the assistant mayor Haakensen has also been at odds with the mayor's new approach to the city government.
