Personal history
But the badlands are unforgiving. Corporate greed and territorial disputes shattered the Aldecaldos’ unity, pushing the Family further out into the fringes. A run gone wrong in his teenage years saw Wrench’s convoy ambushed by Arasaka-backed mercs. His father didn’t make it, and his mother, bitter and broken, swore off the road entirely.
Wrench couldn’t. The road still called to him, the rumble of engines promising freedom—and revenge.
The Drift to Night City
By 20, Wrench had made a name for himself as a mechanic, driver, and occasional wheelman for Nomad clans and Night City fixers. The Aldecaldo badge still hangs on his rearview mirror, but he’s a lone wolf now—independent, drifting between contracts and alliances. Some whisper that Wrench took off after a heated argument with his mother, others say he ran from the guilt of surviving the convoy ambush. Whatever the truth, he never talks about it, and no one dares ask.
In 2077, Wrench finally parked his ride in Night City for good. Why? Maybe it’s the challenge. Maybe it’s the eddies. Or maybe it’s because he feels the city needs someone like him—a Nomad who can survive the concrete jungle just as easily as he survived the dust. Wrench is the guy you call when you need wheels, a quick fix, or a bruising presence on a dangerous gig.
Skills on the Street
Wrench has a reputation:
• “Best hands in Night City for wheels.” Whether it’s fixing a car or driving it through a hail of bullets, Wrench handles it like art. His ride, a heavily modded Villefort V340-F Hermit, is his pride and joy. She’s patched together with aftermarket parts and Nomad ingenuity, and she roars like a beast when the road opens up.
• “Low on words, high on action.” Wrench doesn’t talk much, but when he does, it matters. Loyalty, to him, is sacred, and breaking it is a death sentence.
• “A nomad who knows the city.” Unlike many of his Nomad kin, Wrench has adapted to Night City’s chaos. He knows the streets as well as he knows the highways, and that makes him dangerous.
The Incident – Night City Baptism
When Wrench first arrived in Night City, he thought he’d only be there for a short time. A fixer named El Padre Ibarra offered him a job moving contraband across Santo Domingo. Easy money—or so he thought. Halfway through the run, the client betrayed him, sending Tyger Claws gangers after him to steal the cargo.
Wrench turned the tables. He led the gangers on a high-speed chase through Wellsprings, jumping canals, weaving between traffic, and leaving burning wrecks in his wake. When the smoke cleared, the gangers were gone, and Wrench was standing on top of his car—scuffed, furious, and very much alive—with the cargo intact. That was the day people in the city learned his name.
El Padre paid him double and told him, “Night City needs wolves, chico. You? You’re a wolf.”
The Here and Now – Life in 2077
Wrench splits his time between gigs, the garage he operates out of in Heywood, and his regular haunts—bars, rooftops, and dusty back alleys where Nomads gather to trade stories of the road. He’s fiercely protective of the little family he’s built: fellow Edgerunners, trusted clients, and the few street kids he fixes bikes for in his off time.
But Wrench hasn’t forgotten about the Aldecaldos, or what happened out in the badlands. Every job he takes, every eddie he earns, is just another step toward something bigger: buying freedom, getting revenge, or maybe fixing something that’s long been broken—his own peace of mind.

rugged, no-nonsense Nomad with a knack for mechanics and a heart forged on the open road. Born into the Aldecaldo family, he grew up in the badlands, where survival depended on ingenuity and loyalty. Wrench earned his nickname for his uncanny ability to fix anything with wheels—or break it when needed. After a bitter fallout with his family over their dealings with corporate interests, he struck out on his own, bringing his heavily modified Villefort V340-F Hermit into the chaos of Night City. Quiet but dependable, Wrench thrives in the chaos of high-speed pursuits and tactical getaways, using his Nomad roots to stay one step ahead of the city’s gangs and corporate enforcers.
