Mad Mage

his crazy old wizard has been living deep within the northern reaches of Mount Baratok, across the north shore of Lake Zarovich. He used to catch fish from Lake Zarovich using lightning, but has since retreated into the mountains where he lives in an extradimensional mansion inside the mountain. This wizard is the same wizard who led an army of peasants to try to defeat Strahd von Zarovich. His attempt to defeat Strahd failed, he was cast off the cliffs of Ravenloft, but survived. In his fall, he lost his staff and spellbook.
  He is now driven mad and convinced that everyone and everything is a spy of Strahd out to get him.
