Tracker
As a Minor role, you can make either wisdom (survival) or intelligence (investigation) checks to track a creature with proficiency, if you already have proficiency you can do so with expertise (double the proficiency bonus). If you already have expertise you roll with advantage.

At level 8 you can make these tracking checks with advantage. If you already have advantage, you get a plus 5 to your roll.
Finding a creature is the first part of killing it. This is the trackers domain, looking for minute details that betray the direction and speed a creature was moving.
When tracking otherwise meaningless details weave themselves into a tapestry telling the story of all that have passed an area. Those footprints are from someone limping, that out of place branch, a scent on the air, a single drop of blood.
