Ambrewsia
A smoke-hazed coffeehouse located near the base of the central spire of Sandy Terminal. Ambrewsia is always filled with incredibly comfortable seating, mellow live music, and the god and Maestro of the Cismadores, Virtuoso. The baristas are fast and the waitstaff is pretty. When you come inside, the outside world simply stops mattering for a time.
Purpose / Function
Ambrewsia wasn't always a coffeehouse. It was originally built as the living quarters and office of the Thief god, Virtuoso. As people settled into the new routine however, it was discovered that people tended to use the public sitting room at the entrance as a meeting area. Virtuoso, noting this and the fact that tensions were perpetually high due to the dire circumstances they found themselves in, decided to convert the plain sitting area into a full fledged relaxation area and bistro.
Ambrewsia serves coffee and atmosphere to all citizens of Sandy Terminal, and you're not considered a real member of the Cismadores until you've been summoned to the back room and given an assignment by Virtuoso.
Contents & Furnishings
Despite the uniform metal exterior, every surface in the interior is made of lavish polished wood. The ceilings are low and curtains hang everywhere. All of the lights are veiled so as not to be too bright. In addition to the comfortable chairs and tables, large puffy cushions lie about for patrons to recline on.
Alterations
The original entrance and sitting rooms have been expanded, with walls taken down and a bar and recessed seating installed. A small stage sits in the corner where live music is almost always played.
