Suevira
As strong and unyielding as the earth from which they’re born, the Suevira face adversity without a trace of hesitation. A hardy, versatile race, Suevira can be found anywhere and everywhere, completing tasks both mundane and crucial with a definitive aplomb. Quick to act and slow to panic, the Suevira are calm masters of their fate.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Roughly humanoid in shape and size, Suevirans have two distinct arms and legs attached to a torso. Their bodies are made of a form of inorganic material; stone, metal, crystal, or magma. Their heads are made of an opaque crystalline material attached to the body via a long, sharp tube which fuses to the inorganic material composing their body.
Their heads, called the Nexus, are as hard as diamond and house their 'brain' a crystalline lattice called the Core. Their hard skin acts as an exoskeleton and is connected and sealed by a thick web of muscular fibers.
They do not have normal blood. Instead their body is filled with a flowing, semisolid dust called Lifedust or simply Dust which is saturated with nutrients and oxygen.

Genetics and Reproduction
The species reproduces sexually.
Sueviran bodies take about a decade to build reproductive materials and therefore they can only reproduce once every decade. The male reproductive material is a complete blueprint for the child's genetic structure, and the mother's reproductive material is a Nexus which will contain the child's Core.Their bodies begin building their reproductive materials at birth and so they reach maturity at 10 years of age.
Both the males and females of the species are fertile year round provided they have not reproduced in the past decade. The act of reproduction takes a conscious effort from both parties to commence. Upon deciding to reproduce, the male's Core ejects a prepared section of his DNA which is slowly rebuilt over the course of a decade. This is transferred to the female's body where it takes root in the prepared Nexus the female has created. The female then gives birth to the Nexus about a week later. Over the course of the next year, the Nexus must be given sufficient inorganic material to consume or it will die, this is achieved by Lifedust donations through the child's Nexus Spine by both the mother and the father.
Ecology and Habitats
Suevirans are native to a stony desert across the sea, but have lived in Orden for thousands of years, and all survivors have no knowledge of their species' birthplace.
A sufficiently advanced species, Suevirans have built cities and railways to connect the various settlements across Orden.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Suevirans eat rocks and metal. And as such have thrived in the sometimes sparse desert of central Orden. They don't require water to survive, but require a strict mix of minerals from a variety of stones and metals which, if not fulfilled, can cause Shattering Sickness. Shattering Sickness causes the tensile muscles beneath their skin to become brittle and break. Shattering Sickness, if not treated, can lead to crippling disabilities and death.
They generally keep their food stores supplied with foraged and mined stones and ores. These are generally eaten raw, however mobile troops are generally provided with a nutritional slab of alloy which contains most, if not all of the minerals they need.
Additional Information
Facial characteristics
Though Suevira bodies change based on their subspecies, their head is generally uniform. It is a sharp, crystalline polyhedron, whose unmarred facets are an opaque shade of black, grey, or white. They have two eyes, the colors of which are sharp and metallic. Two small holes on either side of the foremost facet represent their nose. They have a mouth, with a tongue made of the same muscle fiber as in their bodies.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Sueviran skin has next to no nerve endings, so they have nearly no sense of touch. Pain is registered through the much more sensitive muscle tissue beneath their stony skin. Their eyes are able to see the mid-infrared spectrum in addition to the normal visible spectrum, giving them thermal vision.
Suevira Traits
Ability Score Increase: Suevira are malleable and varied, they can specialize in a wide range of professions. Any one ability score of your choice increases by 2, OR you can increase any two ability scores by 1. Age: Suevira have a relatively short childhood, reaching maturity at 10 years of age and can continue to live to around 100 years of age. Alignment: Suevira tend to dedicate themselves to their work and have no qualms about it. They tend towards lawful alignments. Size: Suevira can be as short as dwarves(as in the case of Metazón) or as tall as elves (as is the case for Joyarazón). Suevira are medium. Speed: Your base speed is 30. Thermal Vision: Suevira have the ability to see infrared radiation, and as such, have thermal vision. As a bonus action, you may concentrate and focus on either the visible spectrum of light or the thermal. Shale and Healthy: Suevira have the resilience of stone. You are proficient in Con saves. In addition if a limb is cut off, it regrows over the next 1d4 weeks as long as you eat meals that are at least comfortable in quality. Fire’s Gneiss: Suevira are resistant to fire damage. Rocksteady: Suevira have no nerve endings in their skin and as such, feel no pain unless the underlying muscle layer is damaged. When you take damage, you may roll a d12. Add your Constitution modifier to the total rolled and reduce damage taken by this amount. You cannot use this feature again until after completing a short or long rest.
