Faegrholl

Blue-skinned and two headed, Faegrholl, or Faegr for short, are nimble herbivores who only truly feel alive when in mortal peril. With a specialized nervous system that evolved to ignore trauma, Faegr are notorious for continuing to fight even when mortally wounded.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The most notable part of the Faegr anatomy is the presence of a second head. Beyond that, the Faegr nervous system, in cases of severe trauma, does not cause the Faegr to go unconscious, instead it floods their system with adrenaline, allowing them to continue moving and acting as if their bodies were in peak condition.

Biological Traits

Omnivorous, Effective Immortality, Two-Headed, Near-death adrenaline surge

Dietary Needs and Habits

Faegr have a preference for plants. They can subsist on other foods, but they feel greasy after eating it.

Naming Traditions

Faegr don't receive a name until a near death adrenal experience. The name they receive is the blow that would have killed them with the suffix -undan (weather/survive). In exceptional circumstances, this convention will be put aside for the general naming, which is more honorable and usually only earned upon leading several successful campaigns.   E.G. (Translated from Bakdreska) Oxundan (Axe weatherer), Orundan (Survived Arrows), Skerhartundan (Survived being pierced through the heart)

Faegrholl Traits

Ability Score Improvement: Your Dexterity Score increases by 1.   Two Heads: You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks thanks to your two-headed nature, however you have disadvantage on saving throws against effects that involve eye-contact (Such as a Medusa's Petrifying Gaze).   Hel’s Grace: When you are reduced to zero hit points, you do not fall unconscious, instead you may, on your turn, move up to half your speed and take a single action at disadvantage. You must still make death saving throws.
