Demon
Basic Information
Anatomy
Demons have two forms: their human forms and their demon forms.
As one might expect, their human forms make them appear human. This form copies the appearance of the vessel they've chosen to inhabit. When a demon leaves The Demonic Realm, they must possess a human vessel in order to have a physical form. This vessel can have any appearance, but demons tend to possess humans they find appealing.
Their demon forms resemble the vessels they inhabit. There are several key differences, however. Many of their features change, such as their hair color/texture/length, their height, and marks on their skin. They almost always grow in height. All demons have horns, though they differ in shape and texture. They often have wings or tails. Another universal feature is how their eyes change. Every demon's eyes glow an unnatural color. Their eyes either terrify or enchant the humans that see them.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Demons are uniquely capable of determining a human's weaknesses. They easily recognize vices and insecurities and can use them to corrupt humans.
They are also attracted to power. Whether a being is powerful through brute force, influence, or innate ability, you can guarantee that any demon who comes across them will take an interest - even if that power is hidden or has yet to be accessed.

Naming Traditions
The majority of demons maintain their names from their human lives. Some choose to take on the name of their human vessel instead, especially when they spend an extended period of time in The Human Realm.
