Greygor "Dead God of Valor/War"

Those who worship Greygor live by a code of honorable war and bravery. To die in honorable battle is the only way to achieve an eternal place in Greygor's afterlife. Most Dwarves worship or respect Greygor's wishes and see his divine influence instrumental in anytime of war. No civilization worships Greygor as a main religion but his philosophies of faith are often adopted by individuals who seek to sit at the Eternal Feast along his side.   Greygor is often depicted as a large armored being with a bull's head.  

Giants and the Giant Wars.

Greygor created giants to serve humans as allies and friends through all coming times. Sadly, the giants eventually grew jealous of the humans and turned on them. The resulting war almost erased humans from Cruul, reducing the Kingdoms of man to a long Dark Age and ultimately lead to the annihilation of the giants.   Greygor died in war against the giants. Choosing to ascend, Greygor defended mankind from the powerful beings he had created, only to find true death in mortal form.

  • Clerics of Greygor may use bladed weapons.
  • Only those who die in honorable battle may join Greygor forever at the Eternal Feast.

Divine Domains

Greygor's path has no domain but at his Table of Eternal Feast. Being dead, he can not award clerical powers to the Material Realm.

Many weapons still exist that contain religious power from the time before Greygor's death.

Holy Books & Codes

There are many Greygorian works and philosophies written by warriors who found their place at Greygor's Eternal Feast. The major texts of Greygor are contained in the collective works of the Greygorian Knights who have served on the path of war for thousands of years.   The dwarves also have religious tombs of Greygorian knowledge that predate even the elves.

Tenets of Faith

Those who walk the path of Greygor must obey the following tenets if they are ever to sit at the Eternal Feast.  
  • Harm not the meek or harmless.
  • Accept honorable surrender.
  • Offer unarmed opponents a proper weapon.
  • Accept all honorable calls to battle.
  • Offer mercy to good.
  • Offer death to evil.
  • Valor over victory.
  • Honor of survival.
  • Bravery over fear.
  • Die in honorable battle. 

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Greygor seeks to crush all evil in glorious battle and then celebrate for at the table of the Eternal Feast forever. He also desires that all of his followers earn a place at his table for eternity.
