Island of Crim (KRIM)
The island of Crim was once a Vangashian prison island for 400 years before gaining its independence through violent rebellion. Modern Crim now stands as a powerful seafaring empire of commerce that dominates many trade markets across Cruul. The Crimian landscape is abundant with breathtaking vistas, dark jungles and colorful people. Both exotic and beautiful Crim is considered a paradise by many.
The Crimian Revolution.
The bloody event known as "The Crimian Revolution" was a violent uprising of prisoners against the authority forces of Vangash (A4 yr420). This revolution was secretly planned for three years by a determined group of rebels "The Crimian Liberation Front". The CLF organized many of the existing groups within the prison community and formed an army large enough to take control of Crim. The fighting lasted for 3 months before the Vangasian forces were forced to retreat back to mainland.The Crimian Declaration of Emancipation.
Soon after the Crimian Revolution, the Crimian Liberation Front changed its name to "The Crimian Confederation". Under this name Crim made demands of Vangash and Hamar to be reconized as a soverign nation of its own. The seized the means of all Crimian production and forced the kingdoms of the mainland to accept Crim as a free people. The revolution leader "Kuntigo Monstroya", along with seven other faction leaders all signed the declaration allowing Crim to be separated into eight Land States that still stand today.The Crimian Trade Council.
The CTC is the council formed to govern all foreign trade and diplomacy with the mainland. The council consists of eight members, with each representing a respected Landstate within Crim. The council does not regulate law within the individual Landstates but it does demand taxes and services from the governing Houses that rule them. The council is well respected for its ability to meticulously operate trade and transport across the dangerous shallows of the Crimian Bayway.Crim Crime.
Many rogish organizations are known to secretly operate within Crim with a perceived impunity. Crime families and various Under-guilds evade authority while providing illegal services and goods to the criminal underbelly of Crim. Some southern landstates of Crim are considered the center of the modern crime world. Pirates, smugglers, rogues, assassins and thieves find these areas of Crim to be havens for illegal operations or lucrative opportunity.Sailways and Shallows.
Due to the ocean's wrath, mankind has been forbidden to sail the oceans unharmed. But clevert sailors have long known of shallow paths in the Crimian Bay that allow safe passage to mainland and back. These shallow paths are numerous and dangerous to judge- with one mistake often leading to entire fleets being swallowed up by the sea. Highly patrolled routes are called "Sailways" while lesser known paths are commonly known as "shallows" or "smuggleways".Structure
The Island of Crim is governed by the Trade Council of Crim. tThe council consists of eight ruling houses that individually govern over different Land-States that make up the whole of Crim. These Land-States are each controlled by a faction or family put in place by the council by order of vote.
Each Land-State of Crim has its own philosophies, cultures, agendas and local law systems within their respected borders, and must obey the Trade Council's regulations on taxes and trade. The eight houses that rule over Crims separated regions maintain order over their lands while the council dictates policy and agenda over foreign affairs.
The Land States.
- Sinko'Daboato : known as a haven for active pirates or a retirement location for old rogues. The people are friendly to outsiders even when robbing them. The vistas are beautiful and the culture is rich with song and dance. Sinko'Daboato is ruled by the famous trade family "Daboatos".
- Hor'ror: known for its endless swamp and marsh, Hor'ror is often called "the bayou" or "The big Swamp swamp". The people of Hor'ror are mostly poor and uneducated with a select wealthy few living decadent lifestyles. The state of Hor'ror is mercilessly governed by the aristocratic "Gorpleez" family and countless rumors of dark magics spill from those who speak of them.
- The Confederation: Known its military army and its battle fleet of ships, The Confederation is well respected for its dependable trade system and its ability to police both sea and land. The Confederation's law has no tolerance from criminal activity and judges harshly on the necks of pirates and rogues. The people are hard working, prosperous and happy while the governing house rules fairly over them. The ruling house is a wealthy group of merchants and law makers known as "The Crimson Tribunal".
- New Bay: Known for its year-long warm weather and its perfect white sand beaches, New Bay is truly a mortal heaven for those who can afford to live or vacation there. New Bay's people are fond of exotic foods and drinks, along with various forms of art and expression. House New Bay rules with extremely high taxes- assuring those who live here are very wealthy or an owned servant.
- Port Kasa: Know for its safe trade and patrolled ports, Kasa is the second oldest Land-State of Crim. The central city of "MeeKasa" is a common destination for those seeking safe trade of exotic goods or expensive cargo. Port Kasa benefits greatly from the patrolling police fleets of The Confederation and offers a peaceful stay for all legal travelers, traders adventurers and . Port Kasa is governed by a council of merchants and law makers known as "The Guildo Por Kasa".
- Scott: The only land locked state of Crim, Scott has a long history of violence among all connecting states on its borders. Once much larger with access to the western sea, Scott now exists surrounded on all sides. Scott people hard hard muscled and do not trust outsiders easily and are quick to fist fighting. The largest mountains of Crim (The Great Scott Mountains) are within the center of Scott and they are full of gold and iron that produce most of Scott's wealth. The wealthy ruling family of Scott is "House Cloudfolk" who took the Scott throne from House Scott over 400 years ago.
- Bel'tok-o: Once the farm lands of Scott over 400 years ago, Bel'tok-o now serves the entirety of Crim as a dedicated farm state that supplies most of Crim with food and spices in return for resources, privileges and coin. Bel'tok-o is a very powerful and wealthy Land State with many contracts across Crim and the mainland. The people here are mostly farmers, cattlemen, shepards, spice-mongers and craftsmen. The ruling house is the powerful farming guild "The United Farmers of Crim".
- Damoffia: Existing beyond the reach the the Confederation, Damoffia is well known for harboring pirates and rogues as well as servicing their needs through many illegal.guilds that operate with little oversight or regulation. Some of Cruul's most powerful criminal organizations find home here along with countless fugitives, scoundrels, thieves and cutthroats. The ruling family "House Moffia" is rumored to be deeply involved in organized crime across all of Cruul, but few risk investigating such claims.
Culture
Crimian life is known for colorful festivals, exotic locations, dangerous cities and warm weather. The people are multiracial and multicultural with Crim having largest non-crude population of red blooded Orks, goblins, Bugbears, Gnolls, Kobolds and Lizerdfolk in some locations. Many languages are spoken in Crim, with many travelers and traders regularly visiting from far away lands to do business. Cultures change between Land States, greatly in some cases, making people of Crim hard hard to define as a whole.
Public Agenda
The trade Council of Crim demands access to trade and self governance without Church or Crown. After declaring itself a sovereign nation in A4 yr20, Crim has become a prosperous nation that exports many things to the mainland while enjoying a robust commerce fueled by trade both foreign and domestic.

Each Land-State of Crim claims select assets unique to its own. The following is a list of assets each state of Crim possesses or capitalizes on.
- Sinko'Daboato - Shallow smuggleways, pearls, criminal guilds, Sinko fruit, beautiful beaches.
- Hor'ror - Gator meat, silver mines, exotic beasts, magic and slaves.
- Confederation - Military protection.
- New Bay - Diamond mines, year long warm weather, gorgeous land, white sands and fine living under high taxation.
- Port Kasa - Legal port for all of Crim, safe trade, exotic goods, policed waters and guarded cities filled with public guilds.
- Scott - Gold, iron, liquors and Scott-iron weapons and items.
- Bel'Tok-o - Rare and expensive spices, fabrics, food and livestock.
- Damoffia - Deep criminal organizations, slow-kain, poisons, stolen goods, furrs and tobacco.
History
The island of Crim was founded by Vangashian Criminals who were banished there for various Crimes against the crown or people of Vangash. Over the last 400 years they have grown to operate and a civilized nation without King or governing Church.
Worship
Crim has no selected religion or official governing faith. Instead the people of Crim are free to worship has they see fit without governing rule over such freedoms. This freedom of worship even allows observation of neutral and evil gods- causing some areas of Crim to be secretly influenced by divine darkness.
