The Tempest Serpent devours a fleet of ships

A series of catastrophic attacks occur in the waters around Astrum, all seemingly within moments of each other despite being hundreds or even thousands of miles apart and perpetuated by (as far as anyone is able to tell) a variety of creatures. Fifteen ships were sunk in total, including the majority of a fleet headed by the esteemed demon Captain Ogra (who fought valiantly but succumbed to the serpent's embrace along with her crew), and a fishing vessel that eyewitnesses claimed was "swallowed whole". No bodies were ever recovered from the attacks.
