Wraps of the Open Hand - Mortal Memento

These thin leather bands are made of a strange hide-like substance with shimmering line of power running down each side. Once attuned to these wraps you learn of the story of their creation. Two brothers were born in a deeply religious town which at its centre held a university where the arcane arts were studied. Eventually the town turned to arcane magic so that it could be independent from the diving beings that they saw as controlling their lives.    The Gods, enraged at this betrayal, sent a storm of divine fury obliterating the town leaving only two survivors: the two brothers. These two brothers knew that there must be an answer to finding strength without the need for magic at all and sought to find it. This study brought them to the top of the highest mountain peak in Cresteria Mount Dunathril where they meditated for 1 year and discovered the secret of ki.    This was not enough for the brothers who sort to further gain strength from their newfound power but argued on how to achieve it. The first brother believed that the raw power of the elemental planes should be harnessed to improve his combat capabilities and so he became the first user of the way of the elements. His brother disagreed and turned to the betterment of himself to find his strength but found opposition from the giant gods Surtur and Thrym. The second brother battled for 6 days and 6 nights, defeating Sutur and having to flee for his life. He then combined his raw power with the essence of Surtur forging this great relic.
