Impact on the Story
First Introduction
Bork Matthias was first introduced when the Knights of Braveheart entered the headquarters for the Xanathar Guild, the ruthless crime guild that based themselves in Doriath. At the entrance to the lair, known to the guildmembers as Skullport, Bork Matthias was found as the closet thing the guild had to a secretary. Bork questioned the party when they entered and kept a close eye on them as they quietly explored the port.Recurring roles
When the Knights of Braveheart were gifted lordship over one of the islands of Heatherdale, they were greeted at the docks of the fort by a smartly-dressed butler named Jeeves. A few months into being the lord of Heatherdale, Lawrence Edgar found out that the true identity of Jeeves was, in fact, the equally smartly-dressed bugbear which they had come across in Skullport. Bork explained that after Xanathar's death he betrayed the guild in order to not get murdered during the power vacuum as he held a large amount of power in the guild. Instead of killing or banishing the man, Lawrence decided that he could put the bugbear's ability to don cunning disguises to use. He appointed Bork to the position of head of intelligence, to head the spy effort against the Confederacy and gain more of a foothold during the war. For the rest of the war, Bork fed many important pieces of information to the GMA (the most important being the location of the electrum earrings that would help the naval forces of the alliance bypass the perpetual storm surrounding the Confederacy's central island).
