The Greater Kingdom of Sonrid was started within the second generation of elves that came into the world. The elves of old once granted their immortality sought to leave from the realms of Aven that were inhabitated by the gods to search for their own path and to ensure their own saftey at the turmoil of that time.
It was within this area that the High Temple was created and ruled by the Oracle and her twin High Commander until the need for more territory drove her twin to branch out and create the Temple of the Blessed.
Sonrid became where the humans were brought to once they were created in order to appease the god of Death in having someone to rule over and offer his gifts to as the elves rejected it.
The Greater Kingdom is known for its strange beauty. It is a desert, the hot and dry climate leaving many to swelter in the warm seasons. There is rarely a wet season within this kingdom however the two seasons they experience only changes from a slightly cooler day and frigid nights to sweltering days and cool nights. There is a lot of wind that occurs as well.
Near the High Temple there is a large river that runs to the nearby ocean beyond and is a port that is used to access the other Kingdom of Torell that is nearly completely waterlocked by the time the story is being told.
Lonoir
The most northern territory of the elven domain/rule
Known for its mountainous views, harsh winters, and the end of the Trade Trail
Lonoir houses the second of the greatest Temples within it where High Commander rules and enforces the rules of the Sorting in order to control population into forcing the best chances to create a Vessel.
Protected region due to the Protection Rune placed by Marcus and Eunomia when she was first racing away from being hunted.
Lonoir is one of the most sacred areas due to the sheer amount of statues and mystical objects that were left from the immortals early on in the creation of the realm. It is also charged with Magik that is wild from the humans that settled within the mountain ranges early on in humanity. These humans were the most northern of the Wild Men tribes, they were visited by the god of Magik, god of Travel and goddess of Harvest. The Wild Men were able to utilize Magik from the nature, however, they were not born with Magik in their veins/souls being able to use it as the elves could. Its a more wild magik versus the controlled and calculated/weaponized magik that the elves do.
The Outer Square is beautiful and vibrant filled with satyrs and humans. The Outer Square is ruled over by deemed leaders of the people. This includes Marcus, Mr. Graslow, and the father of Garrion. These group leaders and their family are important to those within the people of the Outer Square in order to make sure that they are protected, cared for and well fed when they are all under the rule of the elves. Garrion and his father believe that there should be an uprising/rebellion against the elves as they heard that one is coming in at Sonrid. Marcus was more cautious, telling them to not do so and that they needed to have better strategy against immortal beigns whose only thing to do is kill and conquer. Roslyn agrees though with the idea of rebellion as she feels the ever creeping close day of the Sorting.
