Magics used during The Sisters' Crisis, particularly by the lower nobility of The Kingdom Of Ishi, caused Skin Ash to overrun over half of the Ishi Plateau , resulting in The Empty expanding significantly. This destroyed multiple Ishi cities and displaced hundreds of thousands of people.
Fighting in The Sisters' Crisis got significantly more brutal around 87 ə, as noble clans started practicing total war against each other, and using magic in defiance of the agreements made as part of the The Adellonian Mysterectomy Campaign , which had been conducted specifically to halt the spread of skin ash. Shortly thereafter Dejan Kisses started to consume the south western edge of the plateau. Some Ishii nobles immediately appealed to the clans to stop using magic for the good of the kingdom, but others saw an opportunity to destroy their enemies' bases of power by allowing The Empty to swallow their cities.
While blight still remains in the majority of the plateau, and continues to slowly grow, its rapid expansion ended in 137, marking what is generally considered the end of The Sisters' Crisis, although the fighting had ended more than a decade prior.
