Acana

Acana is the state religion in The Yhivan Empire and the religion practiced by the majority of people in The Gisha River and Delta. It revolves around worship of a pantheon, carried out by a priestly bureaucracy who are also handle most administrative duties for the Yhivan state. Since The Face Wars the formerly independent bureaucracies of Gisha valley's cities have been folded under the new Kokcho Priesthood, located in the empire's capital at Yhivi Yon-Gisha.
The Acana pantheon is composed of a series of gods who are generally depicted as different animals with human heads. It is uncommon, although not blasphemous, for artisans to put other cognizant species' heads on the gods.

Major figures in ~rough~ order of contemporary importance:
Gish: A flamingo with a woman's head. Fertility, the Gisha River, agriculture, learning, and emotions. The state has been pushing the idea that dead Czars become Gish since unification of the valley.
Kokcho: An elephant with a man's head at the end of the trunk. Math, decisions, bureaucracy, war and strategy. The state has also been pushing the idea that living Czars are reincarnation or avatars of Kokcho.
Otmo:A giraffe with a an ambiguously sex'd head. The dead, The Huge, Terrible Desert, travelers, communication.
Uta: Half an eel and half a man's face. The moonshard known as You, the home/hearth, AMAB-ass bodies, marriage.

Atu: Half an eel and half a woman's face. The moonshard known as Me, lakes, philosophy, AFAB-ass bodies, solitude.
Arhomt: Formerly the god of the moon, depicted as an eel with a man's head.

There's a myriad of other gods, as well as local gods for most places in The Gisha Valley and areas adjacent, but any Acana faithful settlement is guaranteed to have a temple to Gish and one other from the above list, in addition to whatever other local deities.
