Flora Edibility & Medical Uses

Edible classifications and potential medical properties of the flora of Eeveecraftia!

Written by Eeveecrafter

Intro and Edibility Scale

The flora of Eeveecraftia is just as diverse and fantastical as the fauna that walks amongst them. Ranging from the sweetest and most nutritious berries to the most poisonous and thorniest shrubs, this article shows the classification of flora edibility and the potential healing uses they hold.
Some edible flora have varying amounts of nutritional value alongside their uses in the healing department, and flora that is NOT edible can inflict external and internal harm to the body. For some peculiar reason, a few inedible and dangerous species of flora yield beneficial healing properties if extracted carefully. There are six levels in the Flora Edibility Scale (F.E.S):

  • Safe with High Nutritional Value (Lowest)
  • Safe with Moderately High Nutritional Value
  • Safe with Moderately Low Nutritional Value
  • Neutral with Low Nutritional Value
  • Unsafe with Low Lethality
  • Unsafe with High Lethality (Highest)
For more info on the six levels with a little more context, check out the sidebar panel details --->

Healing Properties

You can't be sure if a plant is safe for consumption in Eeveecraftia, so that's what this handy scale is for! Now, you can become an expert botanist and Healer once you've learned about the flora of Eeveecraftia! Speaking of healing, there is a career class called Healer (the Eeveecraftian equivalent of a doctor), so the rest of this article won't explain the career in complete detail. Still, it will be fully explained in a separate article. So here's a quick rundown about healers and what they do in the Eeveecraftian world; as the name suggests, healers are Eeveecraftians that heal the wounded and sick with either their type powers (either Grass, Light, or Fairy) or by using the plants that withhold medical properties. Healers are highly respected in Eeveecraftian society, so much so that hurting or killing a healer is considered a horrible crime. With that out of the way, there are many possible healing properties plants can have, such as natural regeneration efficiency, heat stroke immunity, skin, hair, and fur protection, anti-dough sogginess (Cookieon Only), poison immunity, freezing immunity, healing efficiency, strength boost, etc. For more info on the healing abilities and potion recipes, check out Potion Brewing & Recipes.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the flora of Eeveecraftia isn't as ordinary as anyone thinks. They do many different things in their ways, just like the fauna that walk amongst them. Despite the almost endless variety of plants found, there are still more that have not been discovered yet. It is an honor if some of you that read this give any input on plants you might find deserving of a dossier of their own in this world.
With a more in-depth analysis of F.E.S., the six levels range from the safest and most high in nutrients to the unsafest and most lethal. Starting from the lowest level, this is where the safest and healthiest flora are placed on the scale. You'll find nutrient-high edibles like Macroberries, Passion Berries, Rockarrots, Starry Planterns, Jellyberries, and more. But one edible stands proud above the rest; the Heart Fruit. This fabled fruit not only holds both natural regeneration and healing efficiency, but it is also easy to grow and obtain in your backyard without much hassle. So be sure to pack a bag of Heart Fruits when adventuring! The second level is where the moderately healthy edibles are, such as Glowberries, Longrass, Triangfruit, Sweetberries, and more. These edibles aren't as highly nutritious as edibles in the previous level but are still a substitute if you don't have any Tier 1 edibles. The third level has moderately low nutrient edibles; these edibles aren't as high in nutrients and don't possess as many beneficial buffs. These include Beetroots, raw Potatoes, and anything you just pulled out from the ground. It won't give you good stat advantages, but they at least keep you from starving to death.
