The Seer Tribes
History
The Seer Tribes originated from merchants that sailed to Apora from across the sea. Finding the continent to their liking, the merchants settled down under the banner of their god Waukeen. However, as they spread through the land, other gods rose to prominence among different factions. Those factions became what is known in modern day as the Seer Tribes. During Thonik Sekrahd's rule, they retained much of their independence through the sheer fact that they provided Sekrahd with wealth from all over the world. Even he understood the importance of trade and allowed the Seer Tribes to carry on largely unimpeded. Because of this, the tribes did little to upset his rule. Their sailors became skilled at navigating his storms, and to this day they are unrivaled. The Tribes
Largely unchanged in culture from the Era of Storms, the Seer Tribes are the masters of trade of Apora. Their ships and caravans are the fastest, most reliable way of sending goods and even people from one end of the continent to the other. Each tribe — the Sky, Sun, and Moon — worships their own gods and much of the culture of individual tribes rests on their beliefs. To outsiders, they seem to be one united nation, but under the surface is a near-constant power struggle between them all. Though each tribe insists they are very different from the others, many aspects of their culture are similar. They are an extremely religious society, so much so that they each are structured around a separate holy order. They trust in their gods above all, and blasphemy is punishable by death. Their heroic figures are daring, flighty, and cunning, usually traders who retrieve precious treasure from far off land. And finally, all place emphasis on trade as the main way of making a living. The Sun Tribe
The Sun Tribe's homeland lies along the northwestern part of the Barrthon Loch. Their holy city is Ebonwall, which is home to the Order of the Fire Forged. The people value hard work, believing this along with piety will lead to a happy afterlife. They tend to be seen as joyless busybodies, but are arguably the richest of the Seer Tribes because of it.The Moon Tribe
The Moon Tribe claims the southwestern shore of the Barrthon Loch. Their holy city is Southwell, which is the base for The Evereyes. The Moon Tribe values knowledge above all, and care not from where it comes. This has gained them a distrustful reputation, as they hoard their knowledge like a dragon, but this has often helped them circumvent disaster through preparation. The Sky Tribe
The Sky Tribe resides between the Moon and the Sun tribes and often act as the mediator between the two. Their holy city is Thornhost, ruled by the Skybourne with the blessing of their gods. Their holy order is the The Templars of Harmony. The Sky Tribe values unity, and they are the main reason the Seer Tribes are seen as one, unified nation.Remove these ads.
